Focus Pointe Global began thirty years ago as a single-room focus group facility in Philadelphia. Since that time, the company has expanded to include 18 research facilities and three corporate offices strategically located across the United States.
From the beginning, FPG has embraced technical advances to innovate new and better ways to manage and execute research. An early advocate of using digital and web-based technology in the qualitative research arena, FPG helped introduce the profession to new technologies, including web-streaming. We introduced “one-call” scheduling and project management for multi-city qualitative projects.
Focus Pointe Global was the first marketing research data collection company to move away from pencil and paper recruiting and adopt the use of computers in its call centers. Paper and pencil was replaced with a proprietary project information system, RMS (Respondent Management System). RMS was designed, written, and developed exclusively by FPG – another first in the industry! RMS is continually enhanced with the latest software development tools available. By embracing the emerging technologies of the time, Focus Pointe Global was – and still is – a key player in changing how marketing research is conducted and reported.
Today, Focus Pointe Global continues to dedicate itself to emerging technologies, in the retrofitting of our research facilities, to developing internal software programs that continually push growth, speed recruiting, and manage all business functions. What’s more, Focus Pointe Global is developing technologies for emerging research methodologies and combinations of methodologies in order to meet and exceed the demands of a fast-moving industry. We embrace change – innovation creates successful outcomes.
