FPG jump-starts its new giving initiative, FPG Cares, in response to Hurricane Harvey
Focus Pointe Global is in the process of implementing a new program to provide our extended family, (including staff, participants, and clients alike) with a channel to give back by formalizing our collective compassion into a unified effort of serving our communities.
FPG Cares will be the Philanthropic arm of FPG, and is a core part of our vision and values. In an effort to concentrate our efforts and make the most impact, we are focusing on children’s issues.
FPG Cares is a brand new initiative. Laura Livers, FPG’s Chief Executive Officer, is jump-starting the program due to the urgent need for support for families that are displaced due to Hurricane Harvey.
She comments, “I’m excited about banding together to create shared value for our company and our communities by helping children, starting with the victims of Hurricane Harvey.” She added, “FPG Cares has the potential to fuel our good intentions and passions to really see the collective impact of our efforts.”
FPG will be working with the Texas Diaper Bank, a San Antonio-based organization supported by the United Way with a 20 year history of meeting the needs of vulnerable babies, children with disabilities, and seniors. Diapers are in serious demand for families who have lost access to resources.
Starting immediately, FPG will begin collecting small packets of diapers for babies and adults in our 18 facility locations and three corporate offices. Research participants are encouraged to bring diapers to donate when they come to the facilities for focus groups.
