As the 2020 presidential race heats up, Focus Pointe Global is teaming up with research and messaging firm Engagious to uncover what swing voters in key states really think by conducting a series of swing voter focus groups in key battleground counties across the U.S.
The study kicked off the week of March 11, 2019 in Appleton, WI. Like all the locations chosen for the study, Appleton is in one of the U.S. counties that had a disproportionately high number of swing voters who shifted their support from the nominee of one party to the other between the presidential elections of 2012 and 2016. Voters selected to participate in the groups consist of those who voted for Barack Obama in the 2012 election and then voted for Donald Trump in 2016, and those who voted for Mitt Romney in 2012 and then voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
The groups will explore questions and topics surrounding the President, his Democratic challengers, as well as the key issues leading up to the 2020 election more broadly.
