Panelists Weigh in on Super Bowl LIV
Super Bowl 54 will be between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, making this the first time the two teams will face each other in a Super Bowl. This year, the Pepsi Halftime Show will feature two huge headliners – Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. Why is the Super Bowl such a big deal to Americans? The Super Bowl is, of course, the biggest (and last) pro football game of the season, but people are drawn to watch it for plenty of other reasons other than the game itself.
Every year, fans across the country host at-home viewing parties, head out to sports bars, tune in to watch the newest commercials, and consume large amounts of food before, during, and after the game. According to the National Retail Federation, those tuning in to the big game expect to spend an average of $88.65 on food and beverages, merchandise, and party supplies, making for a whopping nationwide spend of $17.2 billion!
As the two teams prepare to take the field, we posted a few questions using the Polling feature on our consumer research app, FPG POV, to get a snapshot of where our panelists stand on Super Bowl 54. Here are the results!
